Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located, and do you offer online sessions?
I see clients in person at the Atwell Mill Building, 132 Albany Street, Suite M2C, Cazenovia, NY 13035. I also offer sessions online, which means we can work together wherever you are. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of online coaching — it's the same quality of work, just from wherever you feel most comfortable. I use an app for video calls that protects your privacy (not zoom).
Do you work with teens as well as adults?
Yes — I work with both teens and adults. My work with teenagers is something I feel particularly called to. Again and again, the adults I've worked with have said they wished they'd had this kind of support when they were younger. I bring the same depth of presence and experience to both age groups, while tailoring my approach to where you or your teenager actually are.
How much does coaching cost, and what packages do you offer?
I offer packages tailored to your individual needs — or to the needs of your teenager. Rather than listing fixed pricing here, I find it much more useful to talk first. I offer a free 30-minute consultation where we can get a sense of each other, talk about what you're looking for, and figure out together what kind of support makes the most sense. Packages and pricing are discussed in that conversation. You can book your free consultation directly on my website.
What kinds of things do people typically come to you with?
Adults
People come to me at all kinds of crossroads — often when they can't quite name what's wrong, only that something isn't working. Common starting points include:
Feeling stuck, directionless, or like you're going through the motions
Anxiety, chronic stress, or a nervous system that never quite settles — I can't promise to make anxiety disappear, but I can offer support in understanding what's underneath it and building a different relationship with it
Life transitions — a move, a career change, a shift in relationships, becoming a parent, loss, or a sense that one chapter has ended and the next hasn't begun yet
Difficulty saying no, setting limits, or advocating for yourself
Persistent self-doubt or a harsh inner critic that gets in the way
A sense of disconnection from yourself or from what you actually want
Wanting more clarity, purpose, or meaning
Patterns you keep repeating that you can't seem to shift on your own
Teens
Teenagers often come when something feels off but is hard to put into words. Common themes include:
Anxiety around school, performance, social situations, or the future
Bullying — whether navigating an ongoing situation, processing the aftermath, or rebuilding confidence and a sense of self in its wake
Feeling like you don't fit in, or like you're performing a version of yourself that isn't really you
Difficult transitions — a new school, a move, a family change, or the pressure of figuring out who you are and what you want
Overwhelm, withdrawal, or difficulty managing big emotions
A harsh inner critic, low self-worth, or the sense that everyone else has it more together
Wanting support that feels different from talking to parents or friends — a space that's genuinely yours
Please note: coaching is not psychotherapy and does not replace clinical mental health treatment. If you or your teenager is in crisis or needs clinical support, please reach out to a licensed mental health provider.
What can I expect from working with you?
You can expect openness—I don't come in with a fixed agenda for who you should become or what you should do. You can expect genuine curiosity about you, your patterns, and what's underneath them. And you can expect real skill and experience: I bring years of training in depth-oriented approaches, including work with the body and with the unconscious patterns that often drive our behavior. I've sat with a lot of people who have lost their bearings. This work is meaningful to me, and that shows up in the room.
What you will not find here is pressure to perform, fix yourself on a timeline, or arrive at predetermined answers. This is a space where everything is welcome.
What is your approach to confidentiality?
Confidentiality is something I take seriously. At the beginning of our work together, we sign a coaching agreement that includes a clear commitment to confidentiality on my part. What you share with me stays between us. If you have specific questions about confidentiality before we begin, please bring them to our initial consultation—I'm happy to talk through it.
What is coaching, and how is it different from therapy?
Coaching focuses on personal growth, self-discovery, and building the life you want to be living. It is not the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions, and it does not replace psychotherapy or medical care. That said, the coaching I offer is grounded in years of therapeutic training and draws on depth-oriented approaches that go well beyond typical life coaching. We work with the whole person—not just goals and strategies, but the patterns, beliefs, and body-level experiences that shape your life.
If you are unsure whether coaching or therapy is the right fit for you, I'm happy to talk it through in a free consultation.
